How You Can Help

The Beloved Community at The Trees is a faith community in Durham, NC. We welcome your support as we endeavor to establish a community of faith which welcomes all people. If you are interested in supporting our community, there are several ways you can do so.

The most important way you can support The Beloved Community is through your prayers. We are a community that believes in the all inclusive love of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit to transform each of us and our world.  We welcome your prayers as we gather, grow, and learn together.

We also welcome your financial support. Although we strive to keep our overhead low, we do face financial responsibility.  If you would like to donate to The Beloved Community at the Trees, you may do so here.

Each week those gathered for worship share a simple meal of soup and bread. If you would like to offer a meal, you can sign up for one or more Sundays. We greatly appreciate your generosity in feeding our community.

Are you a musician?  Although we plan to have pre-recorded music to enhance our time together, we welcome your gifts and talents.  If you sing, play the piano, or have other musical talents you'd like to share, please let us know.

Because our focus is on building a faith community, we believe that everyone has something to offer.  Therefore we have a variety of volunteer roles you may be interested in.  From greeting visitors at the door, to reading during our worship time, to helping load the dishwasher at the end of our meals, there's an opportunity for everyone.

But, above all these, the most important way you can support The Beloved Community is with your presence and your gifts. Each week when we gather, we will have a time for "offering." In addition to financial offerings, we welcome you to share your talents. Perhaps you plan an instrument. Maybe you have a new piece of art you'd like to display and tell us about. Or, maybe you just want to share your story. Whatever it is...you are welcome!
